This notice explains what personal information EasyFreight247 collects when you use this website, ask for a quote, or ask us to ship or source goods, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Colver Group Ltd (trading as EasyFreight247) is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17369705, registered office International House, 50 Essex Street, London WC2R 3JF.
Questions about this notice go to hello@easyfreight247.com or 020 3488 8271.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote, move and source goods for you:
- Enquiry details from the quote form, email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, company, email address, phone number, delivery postcode and what you want shipped or sourced.

| Booking, moving, clearing and delivering your shipment; sourcing and inspecting goods | Performance of a contract |
| Lodging customs declarations and keeping import records | Legal obligation (customs and tax law) |

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. Moving goods across a border means sharing what is needed with the parties who handle them, under contracts or legal duties that limit what they can do with it:
- HM Revenue & Customs and Border Force, and where required Chinese customs and export authorities, for import and export declarations. Customs entries include your name or company, EORI number, address, goods and values.
- Carriers, ports, airports, rail operators, customs brokers and hauliers in China, in transit and in the UK, to move and deliver the shipment.
- Sourcing, inspection and consolidation partners in China, when you ask us to find or check suppliers: they receive your product requirements and, where necessary, your company name and delivery details.
- Amazon and other marketplaces, when you ask us to deliver to their fulfilment centres.
- Marine insurers, when you ask us to arrange cover for a shipment.
- Email delivery for the quote form and updates (Resend).
- Website hosting (Vercel).
- Website analytics, only with your consent (PostHog, EU hosting).
- Our accountant, bank and insurers, where necessary.
Some of these parties are outside the UK, including in China and the EU. Where a transfer is not covered by a UK adequacy decision, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the transfer being necessary to perform your contract.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a shipment: 12 months from the last contact.
- Customs declarations and supporting documents: 6 years after the import, which covers HMRC’s customs and VAT record-keeping rules.
- Quotes, contracts, invoices and shipment files: 6 years after the end of the tax year, for accounting and to deal with claims.
- Analytics data, only if you accept analytics cookies: 14 months.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need (customs and accounting records must be kept for their statutory periods);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another organisation in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis.
Email hello@easyfreight247.com. We respond within one month and do not charge for this unless a request is clearly excessive.
7. How we protect it
Information is stored in password-protected, access-controlled systems with two-factor authentication where it is available. Shipment documents are shared with partners through secure channels and only for the shipment they concern. We limit access to the people who need it to do their job.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Changes to this notice
We review this notice when our processes or partners change and at least once a year. The date at the top shows the current version.
