Terms
Last updated 23 September 2026
These terms cover two things: using this website, and the basis on which Colver Group Ltd (trading as EasyFreight247) quotes for and arranges freight, customs clearance, delivery and sourcing.
1. About us
EasyFreight247 is a trading name of Colver Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17369705. Registered office: International House, 50 Essex Street, London WC2R 3JF. Contact hello@easyfreight247.com or 020 3488 8271.
2. Using this website
The content on this site is for general information. Transit times shown are typical windows from recent shipments, not a promise for yours; every shipment is quoted individually.
We try to keep the site accurate and available but do not guarantee either. Text, images and marks belong to us or our licensors and may not be reused without permission.
3. Quotes and acceptance
- Quotes are in writing, valid for 14 days, and based on the details you give us: goods, dimensions, weight, value, commodity codes, origin, destination and Incoterm.
- A landed-cost quote includes the freight, handling, customs entry, estimated duty and import VAT, and delivery it lists. Duty and VAT are calculated from the declared value and commodity code and are confirmed on clearance.
- A contract forms when you accept the quote in writing (email or message is fine) or ask us to book.
- Costs outside our control, such as carrier surcharges, port storage, customs examinations or waiting time at delivery, are passed on at cost and agreed with you where possible before they are incurred.
4. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that the goods, values and descriptions you give us are accurate and complete. Customs declarations are made on your behalf from that information and you are responsible for their accuracy.
- You hold, or will obtain, an EORI number and any licences, certificates or product compliance (for example UKCA or CE marking) the goods need to be imported and sold in the UK.
- You will not ask us to ship prohibited or restricted goods, or dangerous goods without telling us in advance.
- Goods must be packed to withstand the journey unless you have asked us to arrange packing or consolidation.
5. Payment
- Freight and sourcing charges are payable before departure, or on invoice where your quote says so. Duty and import VAT are payable before the goods are released from customs unless a deferment arrangement is in place.
- Invoices are due within 7 days.
- We may hold goods until charges are paid, and late payments carry interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for business customers.
6. Sourcing and inspection
When you ask us to find, vet or inspect suppliers we act as your agent. We use reasonable care in shortlisting suppliers, arranging samples and reporting on inspections, but the contract for the goods is between you and the supplier, and we are not liable for the supplier’s performance, the quality of the goods beyond what an inspection could reasonably reveal, or intellectual property in the products you ask us to source.
7. Liability and insurance
Freight is carried under the carriers’ own conditions and the international conventions that apply to sea, air, rail and road carriage, which limit liability for loss or damage by weight or package. Our own liability for any shipment is limited to the charges you paid us for that shipment unless you have asked us to arrange marine insurance for the value of the goods.
Marine insurance can be arranged on request; ask when you request a quote. We are not liable for delay, or for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel a booking before the goods are collected; costs already committed to carriers or suppliers are payable. If you are a consumer and agreed the contract at a distance, you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start within that period and then cancel, you pay for the services provided up to that point. To cancel, email hello@easyfreight247.com.
9. Complaints and disputes
Raise any concern with us first at hello@easyfreight247.com and we will respond within 5 working days. Claims for loss or damage must be notified in writing within 3 days of delivery so the carrier can be held to account. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the English courts.
